Friday Five {05.26.2017}: Five Ideas for the Week and Life

Here are five things we are doing and loving this week to inspire you.

ONE

Summer is almost here and we kicked it off last weekend with a camping trip to San Mateo County Memorial Park.  It is a great place to camp with kids, beautiful redwoods, swimming hole, and ice cream sold at the ranger station.  What could be better?!  For tips on camping with kids, check out my post here.

TWO

I love to give our kids the camera (an old one they won’t break) and see what they take pictures of.  Check out my post this week with big D’s photographic debut with pictures from our double decker bus tour around San Francisco.

THREE

One of my favorite stroller walks is around Golden Gate Park, particularly Stow Lake.  This week was pretty cold, so we stopped in at the De Young Museum for some tea and got to see the new art installation in the lobby.

FOUR

I started a new book this week: The Birth Order Book, by Dr. Kevin Leman.  It is fascinating to see how birth order affects your own and your kids personalities.

Big D’s class had a field trip to the Adventure Playground in Berkeley this week.  I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place before.  The boys had a great time running around, sawing, hammering, painting, and being a little creative in a way they don’t often get to at home, it was awesome.
