Here are five things we are doing and loving this week to inspire you. Read on for more…
The kids are back to school, and I am back to blogging. It has been a big change in our routine, but great for all. I can’t believe that big D is already in 1st grade!!
I have four girlfriends that I have known since I was five years old. Once a year we rent a house with all our families and get away. 20 of us in total (10 adults and 10 kids), it is not always relaxing, but it is always super fun. This year we went to Petaluma and found an AirBNB with gorgeous views, close to town, and with a view of Cerro Pampa Polo field. We mostly hung out at our AirBNB, but did escape to Petaluma for some homemade ice cream at Lala’s Creamery, an old school soda counter kind of place, yum!
It’s apple picking season!! While we were in Petaluma, we headed out to Chileno Valley Ranch for an afternoon picking apples and visiting the farm animals.
Their pretty barn had a wedding the night before, what a gorgeous place to get married!
Last weekend we had seen a similar picture to the below of an ice cave in the Sierras. It looked fascinating, so we wanted to go check it out. This ice cave was created from snow melt near Carson Pass in South Lake Tahoe and could be seen off the trail from an easy 3 mile hike to frog lake. Perfect for the little munchkins.
Over a year and a half ago, one of Big D’s teachers was telling big D about her recent visit to the Charles Schulz Museum. Big D loves the Peanuts Movie, so he has been wanting to go ever since then. Labor Day weekend we finally made it! The kids had a great time, they particularly loved the craft room where we made a snoopy house and learned how to draw all the characters.
