Happy Friday! Here are five things we are doing and loving this week to inspire you. Read on for more friday five ideas for the week and life…
The news of the shooting in Las Vegas on Monday saddened my heart immensely. I am normally a pretty positive upbeat person, but it just seems like there is so much tragedy happening in the world right now. I walked by this mural in the Mission on my way to lunch, with the “LOVED” caption and it just reminded me that we have to be so grateful for everything that we do have and all the positive things happening in the world around us and not let all the negativity outweigh the many positives. Sometimes it just takes a little reminder.
I had a mother daughter date to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to see the Edvard Munch before it closes October 9th. We also lucked out and got to see a preview of the Walker Evans photography exhibit which opened this week. It was an incredible display of his work documenting American life. Check it out before it leaves in February.
I live and die for chocolate chip cookies, so when I heard that there was a store that sold cookie dough by the scoopful like ice cream I had to check it out. DOUGHP has 4-5 flavors (S’mores, pumpkin spice, the OG, etc.) and all the toppings of ice cream. HEAVEN!
Date night for Mr. H and I! We headed out to the San Francisco Opera to see Turandot…amazing costumes, dramatic scenery, gorgeous music. Try and check it out before it is over in November.
My new blog post this week was my Top 10 Tips on How to Make Hiking With Kids Fun. Strawberry Hill in Stow Lake is an awesome and easy San Francisco hike with kids that ends in stupendous views.
